Here is a photo of me and my friends having the grandest time our lives in one the islands of Caramoan, in Camarines Sur. Caramoan, of course is famous for being the location for a couple of shows for the international franchise of the hit reality TV series “ Survivor”. Incidentally, this beach where had this picture taken is from the same island where they shot some of the show's exciting challenges! We even got to explore the set where they filmed the famous tribal council meetings—or what was left of it atleast.

Over the years, the Caramoan islands is slowly making a name for itself—for having the best beaches in the country. No wonder foreign visitors call the Caramoan islands paradise! Its pristine white sand is somewhat comparable to that of Boracay while the cliffs and stones and even caves are as beautiful as the ones in Palawan. Indeed, the Philippines has the best-kept secret destinations all over the country and Caramoan is just one of them. And although it’s an adventure to get to this secluded islands via 1 hour plane to Naga, 2 hour land trip and 3 hours boatride, this destination is worthwhile and sulit for its grandeur and beauty. And the fact that it’s quite a journey get there, i find its inaccessibility adds to it’s captivating charm.


Surprisingly, this place is not just for beachbummers like me. There's spelunking, rappelling, island-hopping, rock-climbing and so much more. The three days and 2 nights we spent here is just way too short. Caramoan has a lot to offer for the adventurer in you. Makes me proud to know that indeed, our country has quite a lot of beaches to satisfy any cravings for sand, sun & sea.

I suggest all travelholics and beach-bummers visit the place and see it for yourselves!
