Anywhere Philippines & Travel Plus

Today, I had a productive meeting with a possible media partner. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, my hardcore nego-skills were on to the max, i hope it pays off. Travel Plus was also kind enough to provide me a complimentary travel magazine too, how awesome is that? :) check out the next issue of Travel Plus ( Feb-April Issue) which will include my Anywhere Philippines interview/ contribution as a resource person  for one of their articles. I'm psyched and I just cant wait for February to come :)

This whole magazine partnership actually revived my dream of becoming a published writer. We can all dream, right? Well, it has been ages since I won second place to this writing competition i joined in Grade 5. Maybe I just need an inspiration.

I leave you now with something i stumbled i just stumbled upon, totally unrelated, but nevertheless, something to think about:

Adios, amigos!

11 things im thankful for in 2011:

1) Anilao, Sierra Madre, Zambales, India, Ilocos, Caramoan, Calaguas, Bagasbas, Baler, Bohol, El Nido, Iloilo, Quezon, HongKong, Baguio, La Union, CDO, Iligan, Bukidnon, Nagsasa. The best and worst trips and some in-betweens.
2) for every friend I gained & kept this year. You guys are my real treasure in life.
3) for every friend I lost and the lessons learned.
4) for my semi-heartbreak that was overdue, undeserved, unnecessary and yet had to happen because it’s God’s will.
5) to my family and pseudo-family who may or may not have given up on me. You know who you are.
6) to small miracles and mini-surprises of everyday ♥ ♥ ♥
7) to laughter and small pockets of sunshine.
8) to my unbreakable spirit, my health that didn’t fail (so far), my new-found sense of self, and freedom from everything that was dragging me down.
9) to Anywhere Philippines—still the best job ever.
10) to everything that’s just naturally fabulous, fun and free in my life, no matter how high or low I go.
11) to life that I continue to celebrate every chance I can get ☺

2011, you were a toughie but surprisingly, I’m tougher than you. You were also crazy, but I’m sane now, so you win ☺

De-stress Discover Dive ANILAO @ King Solomon Dive Resort

My first trip of the year turned out to be a dive trip! And it was sort of my anniversary dive as it happened just a year after I got my PADI license to dive! It was quite an unplanned and unexpected trip, but nevertheless uber fun!

Wow Boracay!

Boracay. The word is synonymous to pristine white sand and a beach we can only describe in one word as paradise. As a self-proclaimed beach bum who has traveled all over the Philippines for years in search for the best beach, I have early on admitted defeat and declared that indeed, Boracay has the best, finest, whitest, powdery sand in the whole of the Philippine archiphelago. No debates.

Palawan For Free

Palawan is indeed Paradise.

If you've read the novel by Alex Garland titled "The Beach" ( an oldie but a goodie ), or more popularly known as that Leo Dicaprio movie called "The Beach", it basically tells you the story of a British backpacker ( Leo was american in the movie though, just one of many things they changed in the movie adaptation) and a French couple in search of the perfect beach paradise-- and they found it in a secluded island in Thailand. Many say that this fictitious Thai island described in the book is actually based from a real life paradise-- Palawan. Garland apparently has backpacked all over the Philippines -- as evidenced by some mention of Philippines destination such as Boracay and Banaue rice terraces in the book. True story.
